One of the blogs I follow,Sew I Thought, used to host pattern exchanges (I'm not sure if she still does this or not) and I just remembered it this morning after sitting among heaps of vintage patterns that I have no idea what to do with. I think it would be a lot of fun to give new life to projects I've already tried, or haven't had the inspiration to complete. The rules are pretty simple (I'm taking lead from Sew I Thought):
1. To be in the exchange, you have to subscribe to my blog. There's a little button on the right hand side I've added to aid you in subscribing. I'd appreciate if you sent me a link to your blog or etsy so I can check out your lovely projects. It's not required to send a pattern in exchange. But it would be fun.
2. Each person can request up to 2 patterns without sending me anything in exchange. If you plan on sending me something, please only request 2 patterns so that other people have a chance to get some goodies!
3. I will try to make sure that each pattern is as complete as possible as well as provide any necessary information. Remember, most of these patterns are old and from estate sales so the envelopes aren't always going to be in mint condition. (Photos may not always be accurate descriptions).
4. As I will be paying the postage, I would prefer not to mail internationally unless you are for sure going to send something in return.
To get your pattern, please email me your mailing info to:
tinybowshandmade@gmail.com
If you have any patterns you feel need a good home, feel free to exchange them with me!
Keep your eyes out for the next posting of the patterns for exchange!

Hey Tiny Bows,
ReplyDeleteI just saw your pattern exchange on Burda. I love this idea and I have some vintage patterns I'd be into exchanging, if you like. I'm really digging your blazer patterns (numbers 4 or 7, or both!). You can see some of my work on my blog: www.daughterfish.com
I could send you some pictures of patterns I could swap....
Love your blog, btw!
