I got my second tattoo yesterday! (The Daniel Johnston “Hi How Are You” froggie) One of the guys in the tattoo shop I walked into was like…“Whoa! You look like Exene Cervenka! I wanna tattoo this girl!”
It was funny because I’ve been listening to a lot of X lately and drowning myself in 80s band tshirts and oversized blazers. This is pretty much my uniform. :)
Overall (using items I already had) threw together this outfit for $10! Talk about trash score!
The blazer I found at a local charity shop for $3, the tshirt is my beloved vintageTrafford Tanzi tee that I scored at another local charity shop for only $1!!! I found the little vintage yellow vinyl purse at Philly AIDS Thrift for $6. I swear if you haven’t been to AIDS and are in the Philly area you have to check them out…they are rad!
The Docs were my birthday present to myself last week. :D I pretty much wear them with everything now. Really looking forward to going back and getting a pair of the shiny hot pink ones.
Here he is! I didn't think it was going to HURT as much as it did and continues to hurt. But that's what I get for getting it on my inner arm, I suppose. Next up? Enid Coleslaw tattoo. Can't wait.
PS...I bought my Daniel Johnston tickets to see him next month at Union Transfer with my dearest friend Erik. I'm seriously squirming in my chair with anticipation!!!!!!!!!!!!
