trash sewing score: $1.50 summer dress

I'm in the mood for summer. Which also means I'm in the mood to wear summer dresses. Which also means I'm ready to start sewing summer dresses like a crazy person. This is my first summer dress project for the year. I made it from $1 thrift store curtains, a 25 cent zipper and a package of 25 cent piping. Thank you local thrift store! I whipped up a basic bodice pattern and then piped the seams...and then added one of the curtain panels as the skirt. EASY! Took me an hour, tops.

I take really awkward pictures...
Dress: Handmade by me! $1.50
Belt: Thrifted $0.50
Necklace: Thrifted $0.50
Boots: Buffalo Exchange $7.00

Outfit Total: $9.50! Score!

Cute puppy!

More summer dresses on the way.
